For NGOs, shelters and community kitchens
Good food near you, at no more than half of retail
Claim surplus food from verified businesses nearby, pay for it in seconds by Raast, and send your driver with a pickup code. Rizq Rasan launches in Islamabad on 22 March 2027.
Why join
Why join
No more than half of retail
Every listing price is capped at 50% of what the food sells for, and the retail value is shown beside it, so you always see your saving.
Near you
Browse food within 5 km, or anywhere from 2 to 15 km, sorted by the pickup that ends soonest. Set alerts and we'll email you when food is listed nearby.
From verified businesses
Every business shows its registration, NTN and Islamabad Food Authority licence before it can list, and carries a reliability badge.
Receipts for your donors
Every payment gets a receipt in your organisation's name. You'll also see kilograms received, meals and money saved, ready to quote to donors.
Who can join
Who can join
Registered NGOs, shelters, community kitchens, food banks and orphanages in Islamabad can join, as long as the food is served or given to people for free.
We check your registration, who signs for you and where you work. Every organisation, and everyone who signs for one, is also screened against the UN Security Council sanctions list and Pakistan's proscribed-organisations and Fourth Schedule lists.
You'll promise never to resell food. Reselling claimed food, or uploading forged documents, means permanent removal.
We're signing NGOs first, in F-6, F-7 and Blue Area, and G-9 to G-11, F-10 and F-11, then the businesses within about 5 km of them.
Registration we accept
- ICT Charities Registration, Regulation and Facilitation Act 2021, preferred for organisations based in Islamabad
- Societies Registration Act 1860
- ICT Trust Act 2020
- A not-for-profit company licensed by SECP under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017
- Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Ordinance 1961
International NGOs register with the Ministry of Interior, not the Economic Affairs Division. If that's you, send us your Ministry of Interior registration.
Trust tiers
Claim limits grow as you build a record
Every organisation starts in Tier C, with low limits while it builds a record. The limits rise once you've shown you pay and collect reliably.
| Tier | Who it's for | Unpaid claims at one time | Claims a day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier C | New organisations, for the first month or the first 10 completed pickups, whichever is later | 1 | 2 |
| Tier B | Registered and verified organisations, after Tier C | 2 | 6 |
| Tier A | Organisations certified by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy, or approved by FBR under section 2(36) | 3 | No limit |
An organisation whose reliability score falls below 60 drops to Tier C limits until our team reviews it. The score is built from your orders in the last 90 days. Every account is re-verified every 12 months.
Documents
What you'll need to send
Have these ready and verification takes 2 working days. If something is missing, we'll tell you exactly what, and only that part needs redoing.
If you cook or reheat food, you may also need an Islamabad Food Authority licence. We'll confirm this before launch.
Only our verification team sees your documents. They're stored privately, every view is logged, and CNICs are shown masked.
We'll also do a video call or visit your kitchen or distribution site for each of our first 20 partners.
- Registration certificate under one of the routes above.
- Constitution, trust deed or memorandum.
- Office bearers: a list of them, and an authority letter naming who signs for you.
- Signatory: the CNIC of the person who signs.
- NTN, if you have one.
- Bank letter: an account certificate in your organisation's name.
- Address proof, and a short description of your kitchen or distribution site.
- For Tier A: your Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy certificate or FBR section 2(36) approval.
Claim and pay
How to claim and pay
Paying when you claim is what holds the food for you. Raast is the default because the money arrives in seconds.
-
Claim the food
Find a listing near you and tap "Claim for Rs 1,200". Choose which collector will pick it up. The food is held for you and a countdown starts.
-
Pay by Raast
Approve the payment request in your own banking app, or scan the Raast QR. A JazzCash or Easypaisa wallet works too.
-
Get your pickup code
As soon as the payment is confirmed, you see the 4-digit code, the vendor's address with a map link, and their phone number. Your receipt is ready to download.
-
Send your collector
Send the collector pass to your driver by WhatsApp. They check the food, give the code at the counter and bring it back. Then confirm everything arrived, or report a problem, within 24 hours.
Ways to pay
- Raast, the default: approve a payment request in your banking app, or scan a QR.
- JazzCash or Easypaisa wallet, the second choice.
- Cards: planned for later.
- Never: cash at pickup, or over-the-counter vouchers and shop payments, which take days to clear.
You pay on PayFast's own page or in your bank's app, so our servers never see your bank or wallet details.
Up to 3 people you name can pay for you. When you claim, each gets a pay link by email and WhatsApp, with no login needed. Receipts are always in your organisation's name.
During the January 2027 pilot, you'll pay the vendor directly, to their own Raast QR or account, before the same deadline, then tap "I've paid" and add the reference. The vendor confirms it, and your pickup code appears.
Collectors
Your drivers need no account
Add 1 to 5 drivers or volunteers by name and mobile number. For each claim, you choose who collects and send them a collector pass by WhatsApp.
If someone else turns up, the vendor sees your collector's name and can call you.
After pickup, the food is your responsibility: carry it safely, serve or refrigerate cooked food as soon as it arrives, and keep a simple distribution log.
The collector pass
- Opens from a WhatsApp link, with no login.
- Shows the pickup code, the vendor's address and the pickup time.
- Works until 24 hours after the pickup window ends.
- Lets the driver refuse food that looks unsafe, with a photo, for a full refund straight away.
- Lets the driver report a problem, such as the vendor being closed.
- Only the vendor typing in the code marks the food as picked up.
Pickup and no-show rules
Cancellations and no-shows
Once you've paid, the vendor sets the food aside for you. These rules keep that fair on both sides.
Cancel early, full refund
Cancel at least 60 minutes before pickup starts and you get your money back in full. The food goes back to other organisations.
Cancel late or don't come
Later than that, or not collecting at all, counts as a no-show: no refund, the vendor is paid, and you get a strike. You can appeal within 24 hours.
Not paid yet
Releasing food before you pay carries no penalty. Letting 3 claims expire unpaid in 7 days pauses claiming for 24 hours, but isn't a strike.
| Active strikes | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1 | A warning |
| 2 | A 48-hour freeze on new claims |
| 3 | A 7-day suspension and a review by our team |
Strikes expire after 60 days, and each one comes with a written reason. We can forgive one strike every 90 days on appeal.
If you're running late, the vendor isn't asked whether you collected until 30 minutes after the pickup window ends.
Fair questions
Why NGOs pay
Why isn't the food free?
A recovery price, capped at half of retail, pays the business back for its packing and handover time, so it keeps listing food instead of throwing it away.
The price you see is the price you pay. Rizq Rasan's 5% comes out of it, not on top, and covers the payment gateway's fees.
Organisations that have paid are also less likely to miss a pickup, which keeps vendors listing.
Why can't we pay cash at pickup?
Paying when you claim holds the food for you and protects the vendor from no-shows.
We couldn't confirm a cash payment, refund it if something went wrong, or give you a proper receipt. A Raast or wallet payment gets all three.
FAQ
Questions NGOs ask
NGOs
Which organisations can join?
Registered NGOs, shelters, community kitchens and food banks that feed people. We accept registration under the ICT Charities Act, the Societies Registration Act, the ICT Trust Act, Section 42 of the Companies Act, or the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Ordinance.
Why isn't the food free?
A small recovery price covers the vendor's packing and handover time, which keeps them listing food instead of throwing it away. Prices are capped at half of retail value, so you always save at least 50%.
How much can we claim?
New organisations start with up to 2 claims a day. After the first month or 10 completed pickups, whichever is later, the limit rises to 6 a day. Organisations certified by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy or approved by FBR under section 2(36) have no daily limit.
Who collects the food?
Anyone you choose. Add up to five drivers or volunteers as collectors. They get a WhatsApp link with the pickup code, address and time, and don't need an account.
Can we sell food we collect?
No. Food claimed through Rizq Rasan must be served or given to people for free. Reselling it means permanent removal from the platform.
Payments
How do NGOs pay?
By Raast, approving the payment in your own banking app, or by JazzCash or Easypaisa wallet, through the payment gateway PayFast. Card payments come later.
Why can't we pay cash at pickup?
Paying when you claim protects vendors from no-shows and lets the food be held for you. It also means we never handle cash, and every payment gets a proper receipt.
How long do we have to pay?
Thirty minutes from claiming, or until 15 minutes before pickup ends if that comes first. If you don't pay in time, the food goes back to other organisations.
When do we get a refund?
You get a full refund if the vendor cancels, is closed, or the food is unsafe at pickup, and a refund for anything missing if the vendor hands over less than listed. If you cancel at least 60 minutes before pickup starts, you get a full refund too. See the Payments and Refunds policy for every case.
Does Rizq Rasan store our bank or wallet details?
No. You pay on PayFast's own page or in your bank's app. Our servers never see your bank or wallet details.
